Foreign Students of KazNU Celebrated Earth Day at the Botanical Garden of Almaty

On April 22, 2025, on the occasion of Earth Day, which is annually observed according to the UN calendar, a group of foreign students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, in collaboration with the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development, visited the Botanical Garden of Almaty.

The event was organized as part of initiatives promoting sustainable development and environmental education. The students participated in a tour of the garden, familiarized themselves with rare and unique plants, and discussed the importance of preserving biodiversity and treating nature with care.

As part of the visit, participants took part in a symbolic environmental action, thus expressing their solidarity with the global ecological movement. The visit was accompanied by intercultural exchange, as students from different countries shared their ecological practices and personal experiences in participating in environmental initiatives.

This initiative aims to develop environmental consciousness among young people and support international dialogue on sustainable development issues. Such events not only strengthen international cooperation but also foster a sense of global responsibility among students for the future of our planet.
