On 13 March Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will host a scientific and practical seminar for Japanese students on the topic: “Kazakhstan on the Great Silk Road”
KAZNU: March 13, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Far East Department of Faculty of Oriental Studies will host a scientific and practical seminar for Japanese students on the topic: “Kazakhstan on the Great Silk Road” as part of the winter school.
In order to implement the strategic development of the university, the development of external academic mobility, as well as in accordance with the Agreement with the University of Tokyo on July 1, 2018 a scientific and practical seminar will be held on March 13, 2019 as part of the winter school.
The organizers of the event will be – Far East Department of Faculty of Oriental Studies, Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development, MDP global classroom, MUN NSW.
This scientific and practical seminar will attract representatives of the Tokyo University, which is one of the most prestigious universities in Asia. In the event, it is expected to acquaint Japanese students with Kazakhstan, who will take the course “Regional Studies. Politics, economics and culture of Central Asia”, which also provides field research in Kazakhstan. It is also planned to present the entire palette of approaches and work of Kazakhstan on the Great Silk Road.
The seminar for students of the winter school will be given by the director of the Institute for Sustainable Development Rafis Abazov.
During the presentation, the guests will get acquainted with the structure and activities of Kazakhstan on the Great Silk Road.
After the lecture, an exchange of questions and answers will take place, during which Japanese students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and great interest in Kazakhstan and the experience of the activities of the Institute for Sustainable Development.
The agenda includes such topics as: Kazakhstan on the Great Silk Road, youth and sustainable development; education; education in Kazakhstan and Japan.
