Dear colleagues!UNICEF in Kazakhstan, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has shared information regarding the annual regional event — Almaty Regional Youth Forum 2026: "Central Asia United for Sustainable Development".To participate in the forum, please complete the pre-registration at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfzvxEDl6p38cSfXEa850zWbFfgqJY4hZtdE36EOx9A0Q1gBA/viewform. Registration is open to all interested participants, students, and volunteers.The Forum will take place on August 10–11, 2026, in Almaty. The primary venues will be the Palace of Schoolchildren and the Almaty Museum of Arts.The forum program features high-level panel sessions, practical workshops, TEDx-style speeches by prominent leaders, and an exhibition of the 36 best youth social projects from across Central Asia. It also includes the Project Battle finale, where winners will receive grant support to implement their initiatives.The main thematic areas of the event cover:We invite young leaders, students, volunteers, and representatives of government agencies, international organizations, the business community, universities, and civil society from Central Asian countries to participate.We encourage all interested parties to take an active part in the forum’s activities. This platform is designed to be the first regular regional dialogue space dedicated to unlocking the potential of Central Asian youth, strengthening youth diplomacy, and achieving sustainable development goals.

Dr. Dilyara Urmanova (PhD), Director of the Ban Ki-moon Institute for Sustainable Development at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, has joined the panel of International Reviewers for the Journal of Sustainability Perspectives (J. Sustainability Perspect.).The inclusion of a Kazakhstani expert in the journal’s reviewer board is a significant recognition of the high-level academic expertise of our researchers and an important step towards strengthening international scientific cooperation in sustainable development.About the Journal: The Journal of Sustainability Perspectives is an international, peer-reviewed Open Access journal published by Universitas Diponegoro (Indonesia) in collaboration with its SDGs Center.
